Week 2- Jesus' Early Years
The Gospels give us very little information about the childhood of Jesus. Mark skips his birth story altogether. John captures Jesus’ earthly origins in one sentence, “So the Word became human and made his home among us.” (Jn 1:14) The events surrounding His birth up to about two years old are recorded by Matthew and Luke. Only Luke includes a childhood event when Jesus is twelve and travels with His family to Jerusalem for the yearly Passover feast.
