Day 50- Jesus, The King Who is to Come

John was a young man when Jesus called him to be an Apostle.  Now he is a wrinkled old man, the last living of the original Twelve.  For His life-long relentless faith and testimony of Christ, he has been exiled to a remote inhospitable island for criminals. Then one Lord's day while in the Spirit, the Heavens were opened and John was ushered into the very Throne of God. He beheld the Resurrected Christ in a fullness of His Glory and power no man had ever experienced before and he fell at His feet as dead.  The Book of Revelation is his account of what he saw and was told to record by the Alpha & Omega, the Living One, the Almighty.  No longer is Jesus a baby lying in a manger, nor a suffering servant walking the dusty roads of Galilee; He is the One Who Sits Upon the Throne, and the King Who is to Come.
