Matthew 8:28 When He came to the other side into the country of the Gadarenes, two men who were demon-possessed met Him as they were coming out of the tombs. They were so extremely violent that no one could pass by that way.

Is there a difference between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven?
Throughout the Gospel of Matthew the phrase, "kingdom of heaven" is used rather than "kingdom of God". Are the two phrases referring to the same thing? Yes, the phrases are synonymous. Matthew's Gospel has a Jewish audience in mind and out of sensitivity to the Jews who avoid using the sacred name of God he avoids using the name of God. Both phrases refer to the rule and reign of Christ on earth and in heaven.
Legion is the name the demon gave Jesus when he asked. Legion was the basic unit of measurement for a Roman military unit, approximately 5,000 to 6,000 men.
The place where Jesus met the demonized man, called Kursi, lay unknown for many centuries until pieces of Byzantine pottery were noticed in the trail of a bulldozer constructing a new road to the Golan Heights in 1970. There is a 5th century church built there (1st picture). Nearby is a tall hill with ancient tombs (2nd picture). For more info.
