Day 24- Lord, Teach Us to Pray

"Lord, teach us to pray." the disciples ask Jesus.  They recognize the source of His strength and power is connected to His relationship with the Father.  A Pharisee invites Jesus to lunch.  How courageous of Jesus to dine with those who are plotting His death.  He speaks judgments over them and they become hostile asking questions to trap Him and turn the crowds against Him.  At another time with thousands of people listening, He teaches and warns the crowds of the hypocrisy of the religious Jews.  Jesus is boldly and publicly calling out the wickedness of the Pharisees and religious Jews.  He is now in Judea where the influence and control of the religious Jews is strongest. Confrontation is unavoidable.  Jesus is bringing the fight to the religious leaders and they want Him silenced at any cost.
