Matthew records Jesus healed two blind men as he was leaving Jericho. Mark records Jesus healed a blind man named Bartimaeus as he was leaving Jericho. Are these contradicting each other? Can they both be right? Click here for the answer.
The lowest place on earth that's not under the sea is the Dead Sea in Israel. Its elevation is -1,410 feet below sea level. It's so low that even on sunny days you don't need sunblock because there's so much extra atmosphere that blocks out harmful UV rays from the sun. Jerusalem is only 21 miles away and is at an elevation of 3,800 above sea level. That's almost a mile higher! That's why in the Bible it says let's go up to Jerusalem no matter if their North, South, East or West of the City of David.
