Day 46- I Am With You, Go!

After His death, Jesus appears alive numerous times and is seen by many people.  He eats with His disciples, lets them touch His hands and side, instructs them, and even rebukes them for not believing.  Before His ascension, He gives them two important commands.  First, go to Jerusalem and wait for the promise of the Father to be clothed with power by the Holy Spirit.  He had told them this many times prior to His crucifixion.  His second command,  "All authority has been given to Me in Heaven.  Go therefore and preach the Gospel and make disciples of all nations.  I am with you always, even to the end of the age."  On their way to Bethany on the Mt. of Olives Jesus is received up into Heaven and sits down at the right hand of God. His disciples worship Jesus while on the mountain and then with great joy return to Jerusalem to wait for the Promise of the Holy Spirit and power.
