Romans 1:3-4 concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh, 4 who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord,
1 Corinthians 11:23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread;
1 Corinthians 11:24-25 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me." 25 In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."
1 Corinthians 11:26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes.
1 Corinthians 15:3-8 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6 After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep; 7 then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles; 8 and last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to me also.
1 Corinthians 15:16-19 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; 17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.
1 Corinthians 15:20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.

The Apostle Paul became the most influential apostle of Jesus. He became a missionary and church planter throughout the Eastern region of the Mediterranean Sea. He wrote 13 of the 27 New Testament books. He's someone you should know something about. Select the picture above for an informative article about the early life of this amazing person.
The commandment of Jesus to celebrate the Lord's Supper until He returns is a tremendous blessing and responsibility. In 1 Corinthians 11 Paul says there were church people who were sick and some had died because they participated in communion in an unworthy manner. What was meant to be a blessing turned into a curse. The power and affect of communion has not changed. We do well to heed the warnings and instructions of Paul.
