Day 45- The Resurrection of Jesus!
"He is not here, for He has risen just as He said." the angel declares to the women at the tomb of Jesus. They take the news to the disciples hiding in a room but they do not believe. They run to the tomb and find it empty as they had been told. The disciples leave but Mary Magdalene lingers in sorrow and tears. She is rewarded for she becomes the first to see the Resurrected Christ. Later Jesus, who has kept them from recognizing Him, appears to two men walking from Jerusalem to the town of Emmaus. Their hearts burn within them as He expounds the Scriptures that speak of Him. He accepts their invitation to their home to break bread and reveals Himself and vanishes before their eyes. That same hour they hurry the seven miles back to Jerusalem to find the disciples and declare, "The Lord has risen, indeed!"
